関田 重太郎

建築／アートプロジェクト

2000年東京都生まれ。2025年東京藝術大学大学院美術研究科建築専攻 金田充弘研究室修了。

アートや建築の設計現場を横断しながら、作る過程そのものを設計対象として捉えている。地域の職人やアーティストと伴走しながら実践を展開する。重機や装置といった仕組みの可能性にも興味がある。

2022年度の卒業制作で、量産住宅からクレーンで1本の柱を垂直に引き抜くパフォーマンス作品《Z軸の引っ越し》を発表し、杜賞／匠美賞を受賞。2023年7月 第1回 BUG ART AWARD セミファイナリスト選出。建築新人戦2020 優秀賞。安宅賞奨学基金採択。クマ財団9期採択。

Jutaro Sekita

Architecture / Art Projects

Born in Tokyo in 2000, Jutaro Sekita completed the Master’s Program in Architecture at the Kanada Mitsuhiro Laboratory, Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts, in 2025.

Working across both architectural and artistic production, he approaches the process of making itself as a subject of design. His practice develops through close collaboration with local craftspeople and artists, and he is also interested in the possibilities of systems involving heavy machinery and devices.

In 2022, his graduation project “Dynamic Lift-off to the Z-axis,” which involved using a crane to extract a column from a house, earned him the Mori and Shoubi Prizes. In July 2023, he was selected as a semifinalist for the 1st BUG ART AWARD. He also received the Excellence Award in the Architecture Rookie Competition 2020, and was selected for the Ataka Award Scholarship Fund and the 9th term of the KUMA Foundation.
